The Annual General Meeting was held on 21 January and we elected a new committee (see About us page for details of Officers and Committee members).

We also had a talk by Sonia Willis, Public Health Lead Development Nurse, Sheffield PCT about the DESMOND education programme. This is a programme to teach people with Type 2 how to manage their own diabetes. It is suitable for the newly diagnosed and those who have been living with diabetes for a number of years. If you are interested in taking part (it involves 2 half days), please ask you GP or Practice Nurse.
